The pi must have a power supply source that is rated 5v @ 2A to ensure it has enough power for smooth operation and powering attached devices such as wifi dongles, keyboards and any other peripheral that requires power.

The power can also be supplied through a standard mains phone charger adapter together with suitable USB cable. You can also power the pi direct from the TV if it has a suitable USB port.
